A Book by a Bug

I set out to write a book by a bug
An ant or a spider or cockroach or slug
But since I知 not a bug you see
I知 not an ant or fly or flee
I had to crawl in the mind of a critter
To tell you this tale in a way I saw fitter
A tale about people big and small
Old and young
Short and tall
A tale about toasters and trashcans that talk
And lemons that laugh and toes that walk
All of these things in this little old house
With a little old man and a matching mouse
And a tiny King with a giant ring
A flower that grows from the drain in the shower
What痴 that you say? This is no truth!
You can not tell this to the youth!
I kid you not! So listen well
To every tale this bug will tell
So lend your ears and if you do
You値l know for sure these things are true
And now without further ado
I値l introduce my friend to you
Down the steps and through the door
And down the steps another floor
You値l find him if you only look
The bug in the basement will read you his book!
